Released on July 1st 2026, CHECKPOINT is a history of the first 30 years of Border Crossings, written by Jasmin 'Ofamo'oni, a dance scholar of Tongan heritage from Aotearoa New Zealand. The book also includes reflective pieces by a range of commentators who have engaged with our work over the years:
- Helen Gilbert and Graham Harvey respond in different ways to the ORIGINS Festival.
- Roshni Mooneeram thinks about our work with Mauritius and China.
- Eva Urban-Devereaux recalls our collaborations with Palestinian artists, and the work of the Irish company.
- İlke Şanlıer discusses her journey alongside the company towards SUPPLIANTS OF SYRIA.
- Patron Peter Sellars contributes an inspiring Prologue.
- As an Epilogue, our Chair Jatinder Verma is in conversation with Artistic Director Michael Walling.
