"Marvellous.... Michael Walling's production gives a powerful sense of village life... the wonderful music of Osei Korankye. This is an evening that resonates." (Time Out)

Passions explode where cultures collide in Africa.

When African-American Eulalie marries Ato, the sensitive and intelligent Ghanaian student she meets at university, she dreams that they will be "the sweetest and loveliest things in Africa and America rolled together". But when he brings her to Africa, the ghosts of the slave trade return to haunt the golden couple.

Working with the National Theatre of Ghana, Border Crossings brought together a world-class cast from two continents - including renowned Ghanaian musician Osei Korankye and Adeline Ama Buabeng, the foremost Ghanaian actress of her generation - to perform Ama Ata Aidoo's Ghanaian classic about the legacy of slavery. Modern beliefs mixed uneasily with ancient values in this vital and vibrant production, which used music, dance and the sheer physical exuberance of Ghana to celebrate 50 years of Ghana`s independence and 200 years since the abolition of the slave trade.

Vibrant, pulsating African theatre; THE DILEMMA OF A GHOST opened at Plymouth's Barbican Theatre, and toured the UK, including London's Bernie Grant Centre and the Africa Centre, Covent Garden.

"The music is stupendous. Underscored by the dazzling skills of Osie Korankye, Seun Shote's Ato straddles conflicting continents beautifully, and Dzifa Glikpoe, Adeline Ama Buabeng and Agnes Dapaah deliver masterclasses in matriarchy - by turns hilarious, touching and thoroughly terrifying."
