INDIGENOUS ENTERPRISE - PRESERVE, PERFORM, PROGRESS

An online presentation & discussion of Native American dance by Indigenous Enterprise LLC, Beyond the Spectacle & ORIGINS.

President Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20th was a day where Indigenous children across the US cheered in front of their TVs, and Rep. Deb Haaland, the first Native American to hold a cabinet post, wore a ribbon skirt with red wrapped moccasins to the ceremony.
At the centre of the virtual Inauguration Parade was Native dance troupe Indigenous Enterprise, from Arizona.

Join us on March 25th to see them perform, and to hear about the culture and the context from which they come.
Speakers:     Kenneth Shirley (Founder of Indigenous Enterprise), Prophecy (MC)

At Indigenous Enterprise, LLC we believe in the three Ps:

  • Preservation, which we pursue through teaching.
  • Performance of traditional dance and song.
  • Progression: We understand that culture changes with its people and that we as the Native young bloods of America, we are the pioneers of this cultural movement.

This is a free event, but prior booking is required.
