Join us for THE GREAT EXPERIMENT
THE GREAT EXPERIMENT is a new, devised production responding to the history of indentured labour migration, with particular relevance to Mauritius. The tour, from February 6-29, combines venues where we will target audiences from communities with a history of indenture with venues that can enhance and develop the artistic, socially relevant reputation of the company in the longer term, as well as its growing reputation for theatre that animates heritage spaces. The project includes heritage-based collection days and talks, as well as the performances.
We are looking for the following freelancers to work with us on the project:
1. MARKETING MANAGER
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for all marketing initiatives for THE GREAT EXPERIMENT. In close collaboration with the Artistic Director, the Outreach Officer and the PR Manager, they will develop the marketing strategy, as well as plan and manage the execution of all activities. Fee: £3,000.
2. OUTREACH AND AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The Outreach and Audience Development Officer will be responsible for community engagement initiatives, particularly among communities with a heritage of indentured migations (e.g. Mauritian, Asian Caribbean, Malaysian, and African-Asian). Reporting to the Associate Director and working closely with the Marketing Manager, they will plan and organise community workshops and museum collection days, as well as being reponsible for audience development for the performances. Fee: £2,000.
3. STAGE MANAGER
The Stage Manager will be responsible for the technical and production aspects of the project, in particular taking the lead on fit-ups in the various touring venues, and operating the show technically. Fee: £500 per week.
